Salone del gusto
In Turin, from 23 to 27 October 2014, at Lingotto Fiere, there was the “Salone del Gusto”, giving you an idea of Slow Food – and with the collaboration of Regione Piemonte, City of Turin and the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Forestry – has become, now, a review of everything in the world, man and earth, over the centuries, have managed to produce in the food sector. For a few years, then, at the Salone del Gusto is accompanied by an exhibition titled “Terra Madre” that draws from all over the world, many representatives of the peasants called upon to exhibit their products, from food to local crafts. It olso serves to the consumer to better understand the meaning of sustainable development and avoid rationalizing consumption, wastage of food.
The last edition saw the participation of over 1,000 exhibitors from over 100 countries, have been held 44 conferences, 170 “Theater of Taste” (performances by the chef in front of the audience) and other events.
